connection to and for most of us limits the purchases. In your case there should be quite a few each year.

My Dad bought a 289 Cobra at my recommendation when I was fifteen and over the next few years we drove it to all the major races in the Northeast. My interest in motor racing has continued, but like a lot of things, the excitement of something new when you are young is hard to reproduce.

I've settled on sixties sports racing cars to collect because they are the cars I found most exciting and I can't reproduce. I can hear and see modern sports cars, Indycars and F1 race in professional competition, but the old days aren't reproduced for me by historic sports car racing or Concours d'Elegance.

I'm greatly limited in the number of 60s sports car diecasts I can purchase. But I'm running out of room and I can also feel less guilty about buying the expensive ones (they all seem to be getting expensive).

Next will probably be a CMC 1969 Ferrari 312P Coupe or Spyder. Maybe both.
