I meant when the tire itself isn't heated up well enough.
(Of course cold temperatures outside make it even more difficult.)

The impression on the reports was that inexperienced cautious people get into trouble because they treat the tires too kindly.
And the usual suspects: the people who overestimate their driving skills by far, and kick the pedal like it is a 200hp hatch.

When the tires were warm I was able to get the S550 up to 100mph in the rain, gearchange at a moderate 4000rpm (below the peak of power), and it felt rock-solid. No sidestepping, no ESP flashlights on the dash. Brakes work well.
That's enough for me, sufficient on the road.
