#445862 My Dad had some of the same thoughts, he thought

younger people, such as people my age (40 this year) didn't collect things like the older generation did. Younger people were more into electronics and things. Several of my friends now have diecast models since I have displayed the ones I'm keeping and they have shown some interest. last year (100th running) I went to the Indy 500 with 5 friends and now we have gone to Mid-Ohio last year and everybody was sad when I wasn't putting together an Indy trip this year. We are going next year, planning is already starting. The hardest thing for someone to get past, in my mind, are the very high prices today for a decent model. One thing I see differently would be the years of cars I would collect are newer, such as Indy cars and GT type cars from the 90's. Interesting to see where things go from here, but it doesn't feel to me like the end of something.
