Sure a hot Diecast of the Year candidate.
Not collecting modern cars a lot, and no sedans, and rarely Alfas (even sold some of my best by AA).
But this was a must-have, a diecast milestone.
The model is already exhaustively reviewed all over the web.
But I still made some pix.
Love the carbon everywhere, the sleek ducktail, the color "Montreal Green", the fun features.
And the flawless built quality: NO faults at all despite complicated decal surfaces, no color mismatches on the doors à la Norev metallics.
Super sharp shutlines, so important on modern cars.
Did I mention the spot-on shape and killer stance?
This models kicks the butts of the (actually good) Otto or costly BBR resins.
Oh my, the fuel flap doesn't open!
Where is my fork and the torches?
Best looking modern sedan, I think.
The typical Helix gimmick: fun and attractive, but I would prefer a lower price and much smaller box over this.
Better to sell these as seperate items.
Surely Alfa and/or color collectors won't unbox and display more than one of these engines.
Phwoar.
Magnets hold loose parts in place.
Mesh mesh mesh everywhere.
Especially awesome: not only full tire letterings in place, but also the tire lip that protects the rims.
Carpet and rubber floor mats, greenish yellow fabric seat belts.
Awesome routing of the Akrapovič exhaust, real engineering beauty.
More to see, no faux engine plate as on most Norevs, old UTs or the new Touring brand.
Soooo... ready to start?
Some Italian flag fun: my last three new entrys.
Very different approaches and price tags.
How crazily low the big Fox is next to huge and kinda portly moderns.
Bonus pics: who can resist the class of Italian beauty?
Akk akk.
Short impression: the most costly new diecast I have got, and the cheapest.
For the record: the packaging.
