headlights were Toyota Celica rally cars from the generations that had pop ups. I also have Otto's recently released Toyota AE86 that has them. I may open up the model to see if they can be detached and if there's enough room underneath to put them in the down position. If not, I'll live with them in the up position. I think Otto previously did the same model with them closed but I missed that one.
