in the form of early 18 diecasts.
What I dug out from a 27yrs+ hibernation in the basement, several boxless pieces which started the whole craze.
The Bb 288 GTO was my third 18 diecast, and the first I bought myself.
Back then in 1988 these were toys, the huge boxes discarded instantly, and the cars then taken apart and "paint-pimped".
No internet, not much research pic material on hand, just the magazines I collected and some books.
Just 4 the record: no fallen-off parts, no paint bubbles or diecast cancer.
These were DM 35,- pieces... only 15 yrs later we got the Euro.
They need a wash, though.
