#466067Yes they did seem to get the rocker right - I should have mentioned that.
The wheel set is I believe accurate and the result of using slightly narrower tires and wheels than the Shelby cars ran. AC no doubt used different suppliers than Shelby who was a Goodyear dealer and distributor. Later photos of the car running at historic races show it shod with wider tires - or at least seem to. I'll have to check and see if the models wheels are attached to metal rods. If so I might try to pry them out a bit and see if the result looks more 'authentic'
As for making a follow-up with the sister car I kind of doubt it. The livery looks 'sloppy' to me and overall look not as interesting. More to the point, I don't think it will find an audience. Even I would not but it for this price. Very few people seem to have interest in collecting the FIA spec roadsters so doubling down on this oddity seems unlikely.
