Fairlady Z S30 Street Sport in orange and black but was very disappointed with the modern sized wheels and low profile tires. The wheels looked very difficult to remove without damage so I cheated big time.
Those wheels had a very deep dish which gave me the idea to cut most of the back off of a set of Minilites and fit them inside the dish like hub caps. The spoke patterns of both wheels were identical so the overlay still let the brakes show through somewhat but it's hard to see in the photo.
I also painted the outer rims of the original wheels flat black. The flat black outer rims give the impression that the tires are higher profile than they actually are.
This is not a cheat I would do with an expensive model but I just couldn't stand the modern look of the stock wheels on a vintage car. Here’s a before and after shot.
