way to remove the wheels without damaging the mounting points I'd be interested to know what it is. They seemed to be stuck on very tight.

I'd call my cheating solution a cover-up rather than a changeout. It would look better if I did a changeout with higher profile tires rather than just giving the illusion of them by painting the outer rims of the stock wheels black.
