I think part of the reason I remember this is because I also had some interest in the Focus. I became hot hatch fan after we bought an Isuzu I-Mark RS for my wife. That was a fun little car. It redlined at 7,800 rpm back in 1989 and had a Lotus tuned suspension that enabled it to corner with the same g-force as a Porsche 944.
