#467840 Lambo Islero S 1969 by KK. Pic flood.

Finally, one of the missing 60s GT in diecast, no openings sadly, how nice would it have been with fliplights and this awesome V12.

Such a sober car, hard to believe it is a Lambo, seen from today.

Solid model by KK, even some depth on the chassis, no primitive plate as so many cheap resins have.
Low exhaust mufflers, as so many 60s sportscars sport.
Fake vents could use some blackwash.

Best KK for me so far was the 365 GTC/4, with good rockers, too.
But it felt a bit rattly, the Islero is heavy and solid.

Misleading color and seemingly lacking metallic on the KK site pics.
Much better in reality.

Turn on the light!

Stance, shape, wheels, exterior details all spot-on.
Slab-sided flanks made it easier for KK to get the rockers right.
Steering wheel could be slimmer.
Paint is flawless.

With the other famous long nose.... the famous one, the successful one.
Autonotive folklore... while no-one knows the Islero, as it seems.
Only for some diehard car nerds.

Here's one reason why the Islero is such an overlooked car.

The other reason for the shrinking violet status... these 3 stood together in the Geneva 1968 car show, all brand new back then.

Long time no Espada...

Another unearthed model.
