looks, history and racing accomplishments but after having driven the one I mentioned in a previous post and later taking a focused test drive of a used mid-80s coupe I decided that a 1:1 wasn't right for me.
I felt somewhat cramped sitting in it.
There wasn't enough shifter feel for me though I read that Porsche came out with a better transmission a year or two after the model I test drove was built.
I didn't like the feel of the pedals coming up from the floor rather than being suspended from above.
I might have been biased during that test drive because I had recently sold my 99 M3 that was almost 15 years newer and a much nicer car in my opinion.
So for me, the 911 is a great car that I still admire in many ways but not one I'd want in my garage.
