#468671 It looks like a nicely done model. The main similarity I can

see with the 250 California is the back portion of the rear fenders ending with similar looking taillights. There may be others I didn't notice.

As far as affordable sports cars, the average price of a car in the USA is $50,300 according to Kelly Blue book. If that's correct then the Mazda MX-5 and the Toyota GR86 both starting at just over $30,000 and might be considered affordable by some people. So I guess there are fewer makers because there are fewer takers.

Since you mentioned cars in today's world I have to rant about them.

I'm totally put off by how new cars are evolving. They're getting larger and more expensive.

Fewer small sedans and hatchbacks are being made because of the demand for pickup trucks and SUVs and because car companies make more money by selling their higher priced cars than by selling their economy cars.

Some car companies use monitoring technology to collect data on how and where you drive and sell that data to other companies for profit. Sometimes without customer consent or embedded in the fine print of a very long sales contract.

The US passed a new law forcing car makers to implement technology to monitor for drunk and distracted driving further increasing car prices so everyone has to pay more for the bad drivers behavior. That technology can also disable the car and what if it has glitches that strands someone who was driving properly at a bad time or in a bad place?

All of this added technology increases the purchase price and the repair costs of the car.

I'm planning on never buying a new car again unless these trends change.

Sorry for the rant.
