| Around the age of 10, I started with putting my Matchbox on display on an old displaycounter the collection was born, and the urge to find more aswell fleamarkets and 2nd hand stores were frequently visited Corgi,Majorette,Hotwheels,Husky,Champion,Efsi,... anything was welcome at the age of 12, i received a 1/18 Bburago silver 300SL as a birthday present and all went downhill from there ;-) soon discovered the 1/43 scale and it's finer detailing : Best,Bang,Box,Artmodel,Corgi,Ebbro,Detailcars,Herpa,Dinky... I was collecting all kinds of makes and models but owning a Ford escort mk2 as a first 1/1 made me focus on Ford but also Porsche , my dream 1/1 car is the 928 I lost count years ago (a list is still in progress) on 07/07/2018 my 1/18 list is at 1153 (+ around 300 Bburago's & a few 1/16) on 15/12/2023 my 1/18 list is at 1463 (+ around 300 Bburago's & a few 1/16) with a total in the region of 25.000 regarding all scales & mfg's. 1/18 was King, but 1/43 is taking over again Spark,Ixo,Vanguards & Minichamps are mainly to blaim , as are any old obscure models i find on the net or at fleamarkets Keep on collecting !!! (in all scales! LOL) |
