| I used to collect the more expensive brand names and in 1/8 (Pocher) 1/12 (Franklin Mint)Pewter cars and 1/24 diecast , 1/18 Autoart, CMC, Minichamps and some Resin cars, ideally low production run cars and a few tin Schylling Land Speed Racers (as well as 1/16 RC Tanks). I used up the available space in my glass fronted display cabinets and to a certain extent, lost interest. Since I live in Aussie, the exchange rates on overseas purchases and postage costs, together with a new 10% taxation on all mail imports, has put me off even more - however - if the ends justify the means - I might find myself tempted to indulge again !!
